On Friday 19 June, a team of fundraisers from across the veterinary community came together to take on the UK’s highest roof walk at Alexandra Palace in support of Vetlife.
The group tackled the unique challenge, reaching heights of 130 metres above sea level and raising vital funds for the charity. Together, the participants raised more than £1,200, helping Vetlife continue its essential work supporting members of the veterinary community.
The event formed part of the Vetlife Day initiative, kindly supported by Risr/, which has also donated £7,500 to the charity.
Increasing need for support

A busy year for Vetlife
This year is shaping up to be one of the busiest in Vetlife’s history, with record numbers of people contacting the confidential Helpline and applying for financial assistance. As demand for the charity’s services continues to grow, fundraising support has never been more important. Every donation helps Vetlife continue providing emotional, financial and mental health support to members of the veterinary community when they need it most.
The Alexandra Palace roof walk was also designed to inspire others to take part in their own Vetlife Day. Whether it’s organising a bake sale, hosting a dog walk, taking on a sporting challenge or bringing colleagues together for an event, there are countless ways to support the charity.
