What happens when you call us?

When you call you will either be directly transferred to a Helpline volunteer or your first name only and phone number will be taken and a Helpline volunteer will call you back within an hour. Your contact details will be destroyed after the call.
You can talk to the volunteer about anything at all – it does not need to be veterinary related. We’re a safe space and will listen and support you to explore your options.

You don’t need to be a member to access Vetlife’s support.

 

Who will answer?

Helpline support is provided by  trained volunteers; vets, VNs, and others who have knowledge of the veterinary profession. Volunteers receive ongoing training every year.
It is very rare but if you recognise a volunteer’s voice as someone you already know, the volunteer can arrange for another volunteer to call you. No Helpline volunteer will ever tell anyone what you have said to them.

Anything you say to us is completely confidential. You do not need to give us your real name.
