We’re thrilled to share the inspiring story of Alex Green, Director at Broadway Veterinary Group, who is taking on an incredible physical and personal challenge to raise funds for Vetlife.
On 24th May Alex will run the London to Brighton Ultra Challenge — a gruelling 100km route — all in a single day. His goal? To raise vital funds for our charity.
Balancing work and family life, Alex has been training with determination and discipline, often running late into the evening — sometimes as late as midnight. Each week, he’s pushed himself further, gradually increasing his training distance by 10% in preparation for this remarkable feat.
Through his fundraising page Alex is helping Vetlife continue to offer free, 24/7 mental health support and financial assistance to those in the veterinary community who need it most.
Why Vetlife?
In Alex’s own words:
“Vetlife is a charity that’s close to my heart. I’ve seen firsthand the impact they can have — and also the tragic consequences of someone not picking up the phone when they’re struggling.
The power of conversation and community is stronger than we often realise. I’m not a clinician, so I asked myself: What can I do to help?
I can put myself through discomfort and pain to raise money for those who are making a real difference. Every pound donated helps train volunteers, reach those in need, and be there for the people who call Vetlife.”
