VidiVet Celebrates 5 Years with 50 km Fundraiser for Vetlife

As VidiVet celebrates its fifth anniversary, its founder, Ben Sweeney, is embarking on a symbolic and strenuous challenge: a 50 km run through the Castellaneta Underground Trail in Puglia on 9 November 2025, in aid of Vetlife, the UK charity dedicated to supporting the the veterinary community.

Why 50 km? Because 5 Years Deserve More Than Cake

To mark VidiVet’s fifth birthday, Ben has pledged to cover 50 km — meaning £1,000 donated to Vetlife for every 10 km, bringing the fundraising target to £5,000.

“VidiVet has always been about supporting vets and pet-owners alike,” says Ben. “As we turn five, it feels right to give something back to the profession we care so deeply about. Vetlife is there 24/7 for anyone in need, and now it’s our turn to help them.”

Why Vetlife?
Vetlife offers free, confidential, 24/7 support to veterinary professionals facing a range of difficulties.

In an industry known for high emotional and workload pressures, Vetlife’s services are a lifeline for many.

Invitation to the Veterinary Community

VidiVet invites veterinary practices, clinics, associations, and professionals across the UK (and beyond) to show their support. Whether by contributing a donation, sharing the campaign, or simply acknowledging the cause.

By aligning a business milestone with a charity challenge, VidiVet hopes to inspire others in the sector to incorporate wellbeing or fundraising goals into their own anniversaries, launches, or campaigns.

Every penny raised will go towards Vetlife’s confidential services – Helpline, Health Support and Financial Support.

You can show your support via the VidiVet for Vetlife JustGiving page.
