The first years after graduation can be a tough time – you are leaving the cocoon of college with all your mates and now you're expected to perform at the top level over long hours in sometimes stressful circumstances.
These pages link to some of the more specific sources of help and support available to recent graduates including some useful articles such as "Overcoming loneliness in your first job".
It is important to know about organisations such as the Society of Practising Veterinary Surgeons, the BVA and the BVNA – all of which have support systems targeted specifically to new graduates.
It's also important also to look at the more general sections on professional and personal issues which have a wealth of information and support not necessarily targeted to new graduates.
